Preston M. Browning Jr., author of Affection and Estrangement: A Southern Family Memoir

Preston M. Browning Jr. earned degrees from Washington and Lee University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Chicago. He taught English at the University of Illinois at Chicago for over thirty years and in retirement has given run to his passion for writing. Browning and his wife, Ann, have four grown children and manage Wellspring House, a retreat center for writers and artists in Ashfield, Massachusetts.
